CUSTOM DESIGN

Below are the sizes, locations, and styles that I love to work with! I really enjoy being challenged and doing things that I have not done before. This list is a glimpse into how I approach design, but it is not limited to what you find below. I want to hear your ideas and take on projects that will grow me as an artist and hopefully bring your vision to life.

SIZE:

  • XL (9”+)

  • Covering large parts of the natural flow of a body

BODY LOCATIONS:

  • Back, Leg/Thigh, Hip, Stomach/Sternum, Forearm, Shoulder, Shin/Calf

DESIGNS / STYLES:

  • Scientific Illustrations

    Birds, Insects, Fish, Mammals

    Excludes animals I have already done in excess: Snakes, Lions, Tigers, Hummingbirds

  • Botanical Illustrations

    Rounded open petal flowers (Peonies, Wild Roses, Magnolias), Iris, Poppy

    Excludes: Dark center seeded flowers (Sunflowers, Daisies, Black-eyed Susan)

  • Book Illustrations

  • Vintage / Antique Imagery

  • Christian Motifs

  • Ornamental / Embroidery

  • Interpretations of Fine Art / Paintings / Sculptures

    Surrealism, Abstract, Impressionism, Renaissance

    Excludes ones I have already done: Creation of Adam hands, The Last Supper, etc.

  • Detailed work on Darker Skin Tones

  • Trauma Scar Transformations (Self Harm, Mastectomy Scars, Medical Trauma)

    I ask that all scars are at least 1-3 year fully healed (depending on severity). The tattoos I find to best conceal the scars are typically organic / floral designs.

  • These styles & designs are things I have already done in excess OR are outside of my artistic style.

    • Sleeves

      I love creating pieces that can be fully seen by looking at the flow of the body. With sleeves, it requires me to design a piece that is cylindrical wrapped and you can only see one part of the design at one point in time. Though I love this movement, it is not the highest priority in my future custom work. At this time, I don’t plan to take on any new sleeve projects unless I know that I can create movement without it taking away from the art itself.

    • Floral Bouquets / Bunches

      I have been so grateful to create a number of these bouquets / bunches throughout the years. Moving forward I am interested in doing more botanical floral arrangements, where the organic elements are in proportion and naturally found together in nature.

    • Text and Art together

      I do not personally create designs that have to be described by putting a word next to it. I want the image to speak for itself.

    • Lettering / Text

      As I continue to shift my focus towards design work, I will not take on any lettering appointments on their own, but am open to including it into an existing appointment for a larger piece.

    • Cover-ups / touch ups of other artists work

    • Compass, Coordinates, Clocks, Anchors, Arrows, Skylines, Mountains, Trees, Ocean, World, Globe, Anatomical Hearts

    • Geometric, Tribal, Mandalas, Bands (wrapped around arm), Symbols, Roman numerals

    • Astrology signs / constellations, horoscopes, Tarot cards / evil eyes

    • People’s names / birthdays
